School for Little Children offers a 6 week summer program for children with preschool experience ages 2-5.
Beach Camp
For children exiting a Threes or Fours class
Children meet at Burnham Park (Dempster Street and the lakefront) and end their day at Lee Street Beach. The program includes daily beach time, outdoor activities, crafts, songs and stories, and opportunities to renew old friendships and create new ones. In case of inclement weather, this program is held at School for Little Children with appropriate indoor activities. Groups meet three or four days per week, from 9:30 – 12:00 noon.
On-Site @ SLC
For children exiting a Twos class, or with prior preschool experience
Children participate in creative play in SLC classrooms, in addition to a 3-part enrichment series. There is also daily outdoor water play. Groups meet two or three days per week, from 9:15 – 11:45 AM.
Monday Fun Day
For children 18 to 28 months with a parent or caregiver
Campers participate in songs and stories, creative play and enjoy a snack in the classroom. There will also be outdoor activities (weather permitting) and music & movement with Jeanie B! This program meets at SLC on Mondays from 9:45‐11:45 AM
