Curriculum Connection

School for Little Children utilizes The Creative Curriculum to help plan educational activities and monitor developmental progress. The Creative Curriculum:

• • Prioritizes developmentally appropriate practice by teaching in ways that match the way children learn and develop  
  • Emphasizes the importance of observing each child's growth in order to plan daily activities 
  • Recognizes the need for play and hands-on/child-centered activities in the classroom.

"Curriculum Connection"  is a monthly communication for parents to view a sampling of their child's classroom curriculum.  It is designed to help parents understand what has been intentionally planned to support children's learning in specific developmental areas.  Each highlighted classroom activity will be matched with a particular early educational standard or goal.
